FAQ’S

Online sessions are a perfect way of getting a session in either at home or on the go if you travel for work for instance. We have many members who join our live zoom meetings for sessions which make members feel part of the studio sessions and the culture here at 30+ even if you can’t join us physically!

We have a dedicated zoom meeting link and passcode for all of our members. Our coaches are also hooked up with microphones and state of the art sound systems to ensure that the quality of our online session delivery is still world class no matter where you are.

This is a question that crops up a lot (especially with the ladies!) Essentially, an initial lag in regard to weight loss can be attributed to the fact that fat loss is occurring simultaneously with lean muscle mass. This in effect can often cancel out any initial weight loss. However, a decrease in fat and an increase in muscle can influence your body shape leading to a better figure and shape.

We also ask our members to remember the important things. It isn’t always about how you look but about how you feel. Exercise can improve mood, sleep, performance in work and life, enhance relationships, and improve blood pressure, and resting heart rate which all contribute to a reduction in the risk of mortality and co-morbidity. So, remember it’s not always about the scales but what goes on internally in our bodies!

It doesn’t matter how old you are all of society should be looking after their health and fitness through a range of exercise methods, including resistance training!

Resistance training helps to not only strengthen the muscles but also the ligaments and tendons surrounding the joints. This will allow you to stay pain and injury free as you get older.

Did you know that after 30 years of age you lose 1{b736b83fc5b861054740d68bd1acb283c883a5dc8e67cc10bf608b604f68ff06} of your strength every year! Now imagine if you were to not train at all. By the time you reach 60 years of age you would have lost at least 30{b736b83fc5b861054740d68bd1acb283c883a5dc8e67cc10bf608b604f68ff06} of your strength. There is a reason why the older population are more prone to falls and a shorter life expectancy and it is exactly because of this reason.

Resistance training promotes muscle growth, size and strength which keeps you injury free, pain free, more mobile and more functional as you get older. Also, not to mention that lean muscle also makes you look and feel so much better!
